How would you read through a Hull ID Variety?

The Hull Identification Range (HIN) is a twelve- or fourteen-character serial variety that uniquely identifies a ship. The HIN is analogous to some VIN on a car or truck.

The first 3 digits are the Producer’s Identification Code (ex. Boat manufacturer for instance Sea Ray, Meridian, etc.). The four digits following that will be the maker’s serial selection for your boat. The third and 4th digits in the conclude would be the day of manufacture.
